Categories

What it is

Categories group similar needs so case workers can post consistently and volunteers can find the right opportunities.

What you can do

  • Create, rename, or deactivate categories
  • Keep names simple and clear (e.g., Transportation, Groceries)

How to manage

  1. Go to Admin → Settings → Categories
  2. Add a new category or edit an existing one
  3. Deactivate categories you no longer use

Tips:

  • Keep the list short and meaningful
  • Review quarterly and merge duplicates

Troubleshooting

  • Can’t save? Ensure the name is unique and not empty
  • Volunteers can’t find needs? Simplify category names and check assignments
