Categories
What it is
Categories group similar needs so case workers can post consistently and volunteers can find the right opportunities.
What you can do
- Create, rename, or deactivate categories
- Keep names simple and clear (e.g., Transportation, Groceries)
How to manage
- Go to Admin → Settings → Categories
- Add a new category or edit an existing one
- Deactivate categories you no longer use
Tips:
- Keep the list short and meaningful
- Review quarterly and merge duplicates
Troubleshooting
- Can’t save? Ensure the name is unique and not empty
- Volunteers can’t find needs? Simplify category names and check assignments
