Westmoreland County Children's Bureau's Hygiene Closet
**Update as of 5/19/26: We are still just completely blown away by all of your help! We did receive a second cabinet which we are working on filling! I continue to keep our Amazon wish list updated to reflect our current needs. As always, please reach out to me with any questions you may have! Your support will help so many families, children, and youth we serve! **Update as of 5/1/2026: We cannot even begin to thank everyone that has helped us to get this project off the ground!! We have received so much more than we ever imagined and will be able to help our families and children with a lot of their needs. So much so that we are in need of another cabinet, which I have put on our Amazon list. We did receive one (THANK YOU!), but we are actually in need of another. It does not have to be the one listed, just something similar and it does not need to be new, it can be used. We just ask that it locks and has a key. Additionally, I have kept the Amazon list updated to reflect our other current needs as well, so we are staying on top of it. Again, I am so excited to see this project taking shape and cannot express how thankful we are for your generosity.** The Westmoreland County Children's Bureau has started a Hygiene Closet, and we need your help stocking it. We are seeking donations of hygiene products. Many of the families involved with CYS experience financial hardship and instability. Basic hygiene products—items many of us use every day without a second thought—are often difficult for them to consistently access. Having reliable access to these essentials not only supports physical health but also promotes dignity, confidence, and overall well-being for children and caregivers alike. This need is ongoing as we need to sustain the closet long-term. We are currently seeking donations of NEW, UNOPENED, FULL-SIZED, MEN'S-WOMEN'S-AND KIDS' hygiene products. We are also seeking donations of a lockable storage cabinet for us to put the products in as well as small baskets to put the items in for better organization. We made an Amazon wish list just to give an idea of what we are looking for, but you by no means need to purchase off the list or purchase the brands on the list. It's just a guide. We can meet you in the community for drop-off, you can drop it off at our office or mail it to our office. Whichever is more convenient for you! I can be reached by email at dbinda@westmorelandcountypa.gov or by phone (call or text) at 724-989-3377.
