A kinship family is in need of a bed frame and mattress for a child in their care. This mom is trying her hardest to meet all the needs of the children in her house, while she does it on her own. A mother (who resides in Mechanicsburg) is in need a volunteer(s) to come to her home and do check in’s at least 1 time per day. She feels like she would benefit from check in’s at about 9:30 am and then until about 11:00 am and if possible later in the evening. She has a diagnosis of Lyme Disease and is struggling in the mornings with weakness and fatigue. She would like help in having someone visit to make sure she is eating and taking her supplements, etc. She is able to get dressed later in the day.
A mother would benefit from a volunteer who would be willing to provide Respite Care to her daughter for about 3 months time period. Her daughter is 8 years old and attends school in person. She is full of energy. She enjoys playing outside, riding her bike. She is a good athlete. She is involved in soccer (Spring) and gymnastics (located at CPAG), and she used to play piano. She is very outgoing. She has an IEP for Emotional Support. She has ADHD and needs a lot prompting and support and supervision. Due to her needs and mother's health, mother feels that she needs to be in a respite program due to her own health decline.
We have a kinship family who had to pay out of pocket for dental expenses, which has strained the family financially. Because of this, we are asking for a $150 giftcard to Walmart to help cover any upcoming expenses.
